The request to join the MAN network is open to individuals regardless of their nationality or academic status. We believe that diverse perspectives enrich our community, and we welcome anyone who shares our passion for sound, philosophy, and the great outdoors. Whether you are an experienced professional or someone looking to explore new interests, we encourage you to reach out and become part of our journey.
We usually respond to your position inquiries within five business days.
For suitable volunteer applicants, we will arrange a brief interview. We accept anonymous communication via voice calls (for example, using timbre transfer technology for anonymity), which is the minimum requirement, and video calls are not mandatory. Please note that you will still need to provide a valid resume. If admitted, you will also receive support with our multiple self-hosting IRM system accounts to help you in your role.
Please note: To ensure a smooth workflow at the MAN network, protect members' privacy, and maintain control over our data, all members officially joining the MAN network are required to use Matrix/XMPP or other FOSS and decentralized communication services. We are committed to assisting you with account setup to ensure you can smoothly integrate into our team. Currently, the MAN network's own chat server is still being set up, and we will proceed with the migration once it is complete. Thank you for your understanding and support.
If you have any questions or need further clarification about our organization or the volunteer roles, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here to help and ensure that everyone feels welcome and informed. Your thoughts and inquiries are important to us, and we look forward to connecting with you.
Please note: If Chinese is not your native language, you need to have approximately a B1-B2 level of English communication skills in order to communicate smoothly with us. We encourage you to learn Chinese appropriately and will provide corresponding support in this regard.↩
